Coca-Cola sold in Wisconsin recalled for possible plastic contamination

BROWN DEER, Wis. (WBAY) – Before you crack open a can of soda, there’s a recall on Coca-Cola for possible plastic contamination.

The soda being recalled was distributed in Wisconsin and Illinois.

The Food and Drug Administration and Coca-Cola issued this voluntary recall of about 10,000 12-ounce cans, equal to about 900 12-packs of 12 oz. Coke cans. Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Brown Deer, Wis., initially issued the recall on March 6.

Only certain batches are included with a date code of Sept. 29, 2025.

On the can, look for UPC “0 49000-00634 6.”

On the pack, look for UPC “0 49000-02890 4.”

The FDA labeled this a Class II recall, which means the risk of getting sick is remote.
