The South Carolina Women’s Basketball team rolled over Texas 74-57 in the Final Four, advancing to second-straight national title game.

It wasn’t easy for the South Carolina, but Dawn Staley and the crew are back in their second-straight National Championship game following a 74-57 win over the Texas Longhorns.Te-Hina Paopao led the team with 14 points, and Joyce Edwards tacked on 13 points and 11 rebounds off the bench.South Carolina opened the game in a 10-2 hole, turning the ball over 5 times in the first five and a half minutes of play, before marching on a 10-3 run to pull within one to close out the first quarter.In the previous three meetings, South Carolina and Texas combined for just one lead change, but this Final Four matchup would be back and forth throughout.Texas All-American Forward Madison Booker would find herself in foul trouble early, picking up her third foul in the second quarter.South Carolina would close out the half on a 9-3 run, leading 38-35 at the break.The second half belonged to the Gamecocks, who took a double-digit lead towards the end of the third quarter and led by as many as 20 points down the stretch.South Carolina will face the winner of UCLA vs. UCONN in the 2025 national championship game, Sunday at 3 p.m.
