Baseball’s most popular family just grew by one.

Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani announced on his Instagram page on Saturday that his wife, Mamiko, gave birth to a baby girl.

“I am so grateful to my loving wife who gave birth to our healthy beautiful daughter,” the post reads in part. “To my daughter, thanks for making us very nervous yet super anxious parents.”

The three-time MVP also gave thanks to the Dodgers organization and his teammates for their support. He’s missing at least the team’s three-game series in Arlington, Texas against the Rangers over the weekend.

Ohtani also thanked the medical professionals that helped the couple leading up to their daughter’s birth.

He did not reveal the name of the new baby.
