The Nashville Predators beat the San Jose Sharks 3-2 at SAP Center on Tuesday to win their fourth straight game.
After a scoreless first period, Filip Forsberg and Steven Stamkos scored power play goals to build a 2-0 lead in the second. But early in the third period, the Sharks scored two goals in 14 seconds – one by Patrick Giles, one by Colin Graf – to tie the game 2-2.
Then, at the 6:32 mark of the third, Kieffer Bellows scored his first goal for Nashville to give the Predators a 3-2 lead.
The Predators held off the Sharks in the final 14 minutes, preserving Juuse Saros’ 16th win of the season. Saros made 24 saves in the win.
Nashville’s special teams dominated San Jose, going 2-for-5 on the power play and 2-for-2 on the penalty kill.

Sharks tie it up, but Kieffer Bellows scores first goal for Nashville to restore lead
Early in the third period, Sharks’ forwards Patrick Giles and Colin Graf scored within 14 seconds of each other to tie the game 2-2.
But Nashville answered when Kieffer Bellows scored to make it 3-2 a few minutes later. Forsberg provided some pressure on goaltender Alexandar Georgiev, causing a turnover and allowing Bellows the chance to score.
It was Bellows’ first goal since March 25, 2023 when he was with the Philadelphia Flyers.
Steven Stamkos continues hot streak, Predators lead 2-0 over Sharks
The Predators had to weather a sustained attack by the Sharks following Forsberg’s goal, but then they earned another power play when Barclay Goodrow tripped Ryan O’Reilly.
A few moments later, Steven Stamkos scored to make it 2-0, putting home a loose rebound for the goal.
It was Stamkos’ fifth goal and ninth point in his last four games.
Filip Forsberg scores 25th goal; Predators lead Sharks 1-0 in 2nd
After a slow season, Filip Forsberg is closing in on another 30-goal season.
His latest, goal No. 25, came in the second period against the Sharks. On the power play, Forsberg collected the puck on the right circle, then peeled toward the net and whipped a wrist shot by Georgiev.
The Predators now lead 1-0 over the Sharks, with shots even at 12-12.
Multiple fights in the first period: Andreas Englund vs Barclay Goodrow, Cole Smith vs Vincent Desharnais
With not much riding on the outcome of the game, why not a couple fights between the Predators and Sharks?
Andreas Englund and Barclay Goodrow dropped the gloves at the 8:30 mark of the first period. Both players got some solid knocks in, but give the win to Englund, who had a size advantage in the bout.
Later in the period, Cole Smith battled with Vincent Desharnais briefly. On the play, Desharnais was called for roughing after a hit high on Smith.
