The Miami Dolphins made a trade in the 2025 NFL draft, receiving the No. 37 pick from the Las Vegas Raiders. They used that pick to select Arizona guard Jonah Savaiinaea.
The Dolphins traded away three picks: a second-rounder (No. 48 overall), a third-rounder (98) and a fourth-rounder (135). They received the 37th pick and a fifth-round pick (143). Miami now has seven picks remaining in the NFL draft. They previously took defensive tackle Kenneth Grant in the first round.
Miami entered the draft with 10 picks, including the No. 13 overall pick, after going 8-9 last season and missing the playoffs for the first time since 2022. GM Chris Grier aims to fortify the offensive line in front of Tua Tagovailoa and bolster the defense, especially at cornerback and safety.

Hal Habib of the Palm Beach Post gave the trade and pick a C+: “Upgrading the Dolphins’ interior offensive line was a priority this year — but drafting him meant not picking a cornerback. With Kendall Fuller and Jalen Ramsey gone or nearly gone, was cornerback not a greater need?”
