Colorado football’s 2025 NFL Draft class is headlined by two projected first-round picks in two-way star Travis Hunter Jr. and quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who both recently had their numbers retired at Folsom Field.
Deion Sanders’ 2025 squad is going to look much different than it did last season, with his two best players from 2024 heading off to the professional ranks.
But the Buffaloes have a few other players with a chance of hearing their name called in 2025, most notably with receivers LaJohntay Wester and Jimmy Horn Jr. on the draft radar.

WR Jimmy Horn Jr., No. 208 overall to the Carolina Panthers
The Carolina Panthers take former Colorado wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. with the No. 208 overall pick in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He joins Tetairoa McMillan as the second wide receiver in the Panthers’ draft class this season.
WR LaJohntay Wester, No. 203 overall to the Baltimore Ravens
Another Buffaloe is off the board, as the Baltimore Ravens take Colorado wide receiver LaJohntay West with the No. 203 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
QB Shedeur Sanders, No. 144 overall to Cleveland Browns
Sanders’ long wait is finally over. The Browns selected the Colorado signal-caller in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft with the No. 144 overall pick. He joins Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel in the franchise’s draft class, setting up a potential quarterback battle to take over the position from Deshaun Watson.
WR/DB Travis Hunter Jr., No. 2 overall to Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jacksonville Jaguars trade up from No. 5 to No. 2, exchanging a haul of picks to trade up and get their guy in Travis Hunter Jr.
Hunter Jr. is heading to Jacksonville to presumably catch passes from franchise quarterback Trevor Lawrence, alongside second-year star Brian Thomas Jr.
