The Kansas City Chiefs have a new backup for quarterback Patrick Mahomes.Former Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew has reportedly agreed to a contract with the Chiefs.Minshew was released by the Raiders this week after struggling in his lone season in Las Vegas, throwing 10 interceptions to just nine touchdowns.Statistically, his best season came in 2019 with the Jacksonville Jaguars, when he passed for 3,271 yards, 21 touchdowns, six interceptions, and posted a 91.2 passer rating.Over his career, Minshew has thrown for 11,950 yards, 68 touchdowns, and 34 interceptions.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. —The Kansas City Chiefs have a new backup for quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Former Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew has reportedly agreed to a contract with the Chiefs.

Minshew was released by the Raiders this week after struggling in his lone season in Las Vegas, throwing 10 interceptions to just nine touchdowns.
