The Washington Capitals dismissed the Anaheim Ducks 7-4 in the first game of their road trip. Now they’re in Los Angeles to vanquish the Kings in La La Land. And gosh is it late (10:30 pm).
Former Capital Darcy Kuemper will start against the man who took his full-time starting job last year, Charlie Lindgren. Tonight’s game also marks the return of Pierre-Luc Dubois to where he played last season. Lars Eller is playing in his 1,100th career NHL game.
Also keep an eye on that Alex Ovechkin fella, who is is currently at 886 career goals — 9 away from breaking Wayne Gretzky’s NHL goals record.
The Capitals are 11-2-1 against the Pacific Division this season.
Puck drop for the Caps-Kings game is set for 10:30 pm on Monumental Sports Network. Joe Beninati and Alan May have the call. It’s an #RMNBAfterDark night so please get weird in the comments (not too weird) and share your sleepy pet photos.

Puck is dropped.
Pierre-Luc Dubois is getting booed every time he touches the puck by the Crypto.com Arena crowd in LA. Honestly, I like it.
Philip Danault to the box for slashing Taylor Raddysh at 8:41.
Caps got nothing going on that power play.
🚨 1-0 Los Angeles Kings. LAK Goal: Warren Foegele (19). Assists: T. Moore (17). Time: 13:08.
Foegele scores in front of the net to give the Kings an early lead. Caps lost a battle along the end boards.
Gavrikov slashed Protas’s stick completely in half as he gained the offensive zone. Caps back to the power play.
