The Sooners defeated Georgia 81-75 in the first round of the conference championship on Wednesday night, as freshman guard Jeremiah Fears led all scorers with 29 points and six rebounds. Backup center Mohamed Wague, starting his second game in place of Sam Godwin, scored a career-high 12 points with nine rebounds and another career-high four assists.

Oklahoma fell to Kentucky 83-82 at home on Feb. 26 as former Sooners guard Otega Oweh scored a career-high 28 points and hit a game-winning floater with 17 seconds left.
Coach Porter Moser and Co. have won three consecutive games against Missouri, Texas and Georgia, vastly improving their NCAA Tournament resume ahead of Selection Sunday. A win against the Wildcats would show the Sooners are playing their best basketball at the right time.
