SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – The Webster County Emergency Management director reports possible injuries after a storm rolled through the Seymour area on Friday night.
The National Weather Service issued a Tornado Warning for the storm system between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday night. The storms packed a punch, with radar-indicated wind speeds of around 90 miles per hour.
The storm system cut a path through several counties and communities, beginning in Greene County. Traveling northeast, it stayed together through Christian, Webster, Wright, Laclede, Pulaski, and Phelps Counties. Webster County Sheriff Roye Cole says his deputies are focused on an area near Diggins and Seymour. There are damage reports around State Highway P in the Seymour area. Emergency management reports a few injuries from the storm in that area.
KY3 viewers captured the storms rolling through Greene, Christian, Webster, and Wright Counties.

The National Weather Service has not confirmed any tornado with the system. KY3 Chief Meteorologist Ron Hearst showed debris balls from inside the radar. Assessment teams will confirm those determinations after the storms pass the Ozarks.
