PEORIA (25News Now) – Storms moved through Central Illinois late Friday night knocking out power to hundreds of customers and causing property damage in some areas including Canton and Hanna City.
In Canton, a partial roof collapse was reported at West Central Powersports in the 400 block of S. 5th Ave. A photo shows damage to the front of the store as well.

There was debris in on the roadway at 6th and Hickory in Canton where a carports dealer was damaged. The Fulton County Emergency Services and Disaster Agency reported numerous reports of downed powerlines county-wide.
A 25News crew saw damage in Hanna City, in western Peoria County, where signs were knocked down, including one at Gil’s Supper Club on West Farmington Road.

At 12:00 a.m. Saturday, just over 1,800 customers were without electricity in Tazewell County, according to the PowerOutage.us. About 840 customers lost power in Peoria County, almost 400 customers in Marshall County, and about 1,400 in Putnam County.
In Tazewell, power is mainly out between Washington and Morton, according to the Ameren Illinois’ outage map.
Statewide, some 67,000 customers lost power late Friday night and early Saturday.
