CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Charlotte fire crews worked to extinguish a two-alarm fire at a former Uptown tavern Saturday morning.
A building on East Morehead Street by South Boulevard caught fire shortly before 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 15. A second alarm was called a short time later.

East Morehead between Euclid Avenue and South Tryon Street were closed while crews worked to control the fire.
WBTV is working to learn more about how the fire started and whether there were any injuries.
