Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 10 was the beginning of the much-anticipated Jeju Island raid. Before the striking team left, there was a sparring session between the Korean and Japanese Hunters. The Japanese dominated the exercise, and they managed to beat their Korean counterparts rather effortlessly.
The mood changed when Sung Jinwoo and Goto Ryuji decided to test their strength. Goto Ryuji was confident in his abilities, so he had absolutely zero qualms about challenging the hero. The Japanese Hunter was able to scratch Sung Jinwoo’s face, but that was all he managed to do. It’s safe to say the onlookers were in awe of Sung Jinwoo, as they weren’t expecting him to withstand the flurry of attacks by Goto Ryuji.

Sung Jinwoo Decides To Stay Behind
The Hero Prioritizes His Mother
Following the conclusion of their sparring session, Sung Jinwoo talked to Go Gunhee and told him that he would not join the raid party bound for Jeju Island. Sung Jinwoo’s decision came as a surprise to the Hunters and the viewers. The raid would have provided the hero with an excellent opportunity to level up quickly and unlock new powers, but he decided against it for the sake of his mother, who had just woken from her Eternal Sleep.
Sung Jinwoo had not talked to his mother in ages, and he could not pass up the chance now that she was finally awake. He even stated that his entire journey was driven by the sole desire to help his mother. So, it makes perfect sense why he chose to stay back with her. Besides, after seeing Goto Ryuji’s strength, he was confident that the raid would be successful.
The Fourth Jeju Island Raid Begins
The Start Of The Best Arc
After failing to accomplish their goals in the first three raids, Choi Jong-in and Baek Yonhoo were confident that the fourth time would be the charm, and they’d be able to accomplish their goals. The Japanese Hunters were already on the island and ready to begin the raid.
Meanwhile, the Korean Hunters were going to land via a helicopter. In order to attract the attention of the ants, the Japanese Hunters released their energy. However, some of the ants went to attack the Korean Hunters, but Choi Jong-in dealt with the ants swiftly. His fire magic incinerated all of them with no difficulty.
The Japanese Hunters were hardly troubled by the ants. In fact, most of them were able to deal with the creatures effortlessly. Towards the end of the episode, Akari Shimizu was beheaded by someone. Whoever it was must have been extremely quick, as catching an S-rank Hunter off guard isn’t easy.
