The Dodgers’ second of two exhibition games in Japan will be against the Hanshin Tigers on Sunday afternoon locally at the Tokyo Dome, which equates to a Saturday night (8 p.m. PT) start in the United States.
Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow will piggyback against Hanshin, making their penultimate tuneup appearances of the spring. Snell will start, pitching in Japan for the first time and facing an entirely new opponent in Yomiuri.
“I don’t know anything about the teams here, but I’m excited to see what their swings are, like are they more contact hitters, power hitters, if they’re different,” Snell said Saturday during media availability in Tokyo. “I’m excited about the challenges of that.”
Hanshin beat the Cubs 3-0 on Saturday afternoon in Japan (Friday night, stateside) in the first exhibition game of the Tokyo Series.
Stephen Nelson and Eric Karros will call the game for SportsNet LA, with the simulcast on AM 570 radio.
