What’s the craic, Kate?

Kate Middleton made a welcome return to her duty with the Irish Guards on St. Patrick’s Day in London Monday.

The Princess of Wales, 43, radiated beauty in a dark green ensemble at the annual parade, which is made up of men and women of the regiment.

For the celebratory outing, the future queen rocked a dark green Alexander McQueen coat, which she paired with a fascinator of the same hue.

She kept her brunette locks in a sophisticated updo, and topped off the look with a pair of black boots and black gloves.

Middleton accessorized her look with a shamrock brooch, which is made from 18 carat yellow gold.

The symbolic piece of jewelry, believed to have been designed by Cartier, is typically loaned to members of the royal family by the Irish Guards in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.

The item had been previously worn by the Queen Mother and Princess Anne, and Middleton’s outing marks the first time she’s ever worn a brooch in an official capacity as a royal.

Her outing came as a welcome surprise to royal fans after she missed out on last year’s festivities following her cancer diagnosis.

There, the mom of three rewarded some servicemen and women with good conduct medals, before taking part in the annual parade.

The princess then joined in on the traditional presentation to the officers and guardsmen of decorative sprigs of shamrock, and was even seen striking up a friendship with a four-legged furry friend — the Irish Wolf House regimental mascot.

After the parade, the beloved royal took the time to meet several veterans of the Irish Guards, before getting acquainted with some junior cadets belonging to the Mini Micks in Northern Ireland.

The future queen had been named the honorary colonel of the Irish Guard by her father-in-law, King Charles, in 2023 following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Middleton was seen getting into the spirit of the holiday as senior guardsman in the battalion raised their Guinness glasses to the princess, who serves as their Colonel.

Prince William’s wife was forced to skip out of celebrations last year as she received treatment for her cancer diagnosis, which she revealed to the world a week after St. Patrick’s Day last year.

And while she wasn’t present at the parade in 2024, she still managed to give several soldiers a special treat to make up for her absence.

According to reports, Middleton gave a local regimental bar in the UK town of Aldershot nearly $2,500 toward the bill so that members of the Irish Guard could celebrate the holiday at a post-parade party.

Her role of handing out shamrock sprigs to the guards was filled by Lady Ghika, the wife of the Regimental Lieutenant Colonel, Major General Sir Christopher Ghika.

Prior to this year’s appearance, the princess last attended the St. Patrick’s Day parade in 2023. The royal has consistently attended the parade since 2012, except when she skipped it back in 2016.
