76ers vs. Rockets Preview
Sunday’s unexpected win over a limping Dallas team makes me like the Sixers even less on Monday.
Remember, Philly hasn’t won back-to-back games since late January, and Nick Nurse’s makeshift roster doesn’t include Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, or Paul George.
The Sixers’ locker room has been more polluted than the Schuylkill River, largely because of the attitudes of Embiid and George. Five of their six previous losses prior to the Dallas win came by double-digit margins.
Now, Philly meets a hot Houston side on a six-game uptick, but also likely to bear down enough to extend the margin here after getting unexpectedly pushed by the lowly Jazz on Saturday; the Rockets had beaten the same Mavs team by 37 on Friday.
