Ruben Amorim has made three changes to the Manchester United side that beat Real Sociedad 4-1 on Thursday evening, as we prepare to take on Leicester City.
One of those is enforced, as Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu serves the third and final match of his domestic ban.
Victor Lindelof has been drafted into the backline to play alongside Matthijs de Ligt and Ayden Heaven, with Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui likely to be the wing-backs.
The other two alterations come in midfield, as Manuel Ugarte starts for the first time since the FA Cup fifth-round defeat to Fulham at the start of this month.
Christian Eriksen is also named in the line-up, and it remains to be seen whether he or the in-form Bruno Fernandes will play as one of Amorim’s two number 10s with Alejandro Garnacho, behind Rasmus Hojlund.
Casemiro and Joshua Zirkzee make way, with both players on the bench. Mason Mount returns to the matchday squad for the first time in three months, as a substitute, and Chido Obi is also available again having been ineligible in midweek.
“It’s rotation because Casemiro has been doing an amazing job but it’s three games in a row and he was so tired last Thursday,” Amorim clarified. “We felt that we needed to rotate some players, because we need to be fresh for this game.
“[Mason] is really talented and gives us experience. He’s a young player but he’s played in the Premier League and Champions League for a while and it’s good to have another player fit.”
Ruben explained in his tunnel interview with MUTV that Andre Onana did have a small issue prior to the game, but is OK to play.
