The ATP Indian Wells 2025 edition is rolling along quite nicely with top seeds marching along and some spectacular upsets. As ever, we try to preview and predict all matches scheduled for you.
ATP Indian Wells Day 7 Predictions
Tallon Griekspoor vs Yosuke Watanuki
Head-to-head – First Meeting
Tallon Griekspoor is having a great week and the Dutchman looks primed to climb up the rankings. He now faces Yosuke Watanuki who is on a roll after managing to come through qualifying and then beating high quality opponents to reach the Round of 16. Expect Watanuki to be spent and Griekspoor to much fresher enabling him to attack more often.
Prediction: Griekspoor in 3
Arthur Fils vs Marcos Giron
Head-to-head – First Meeting
Both players enter this match having beaten top quality opponents in the previous rounds which makes this match a mouthwatering prospect. Arthur Fils will be relying on his serve to get him free points as he is going to be wary of Marcos Giron’s defensive capabilities. Expect a very tight battle but the preference goes to the bigger server.
Prediction: Fils in 3
Holger Rune vs Stefanos Tsitsipas
Head-to-head – Rune 3-0 Tsitsipas
If this match would have been happening a week ago, probably Holger Rune would have had better prospects of winning against Stefanos Tsitsipas who enters this tournament after winning in Dubai last week. Rune does enjoy a 3-0 head to head record but on recent form, the Greek should be able to hit through the defences of the day and continue his dominating march.
Prediction: Tsitsipas in 2
Daniil Medvedev vs Tommy Paul
Head-to-head – Medvedev 3-1 Paul
Daniil Medvedev hasn’t had the start to the 2025 season he would have hoped for, but the Russian is surely building up a little bit of momentum ever since the Australian Open ended. He has been reaching the quarter finals of tournaments and on the slower courts here, it is a great chance for him. He faces Tommy Paul who has had a good 2025 sofa, but they had to add does not instil confidence as to the ability of the American to hit through Medvedev.
Prediction: Medvedev in 3
