Barbara Bush shared that her 7-month-old son weighs nearly as much as her 3-year-old daughter.
The former first daughter co-hosted Monday’s episode of “Today With Jenna and Friends” with her twin sister, Jenna Bush Hager, when she spoke about welcoming son Edward Finn in August 2024.
“Well, he’s a big guy,” Barbara admitted. “He’s a very big guy. He’s 30 pounds. To put it in context, my 3 year-old is 32 pounds. So, he’s large and in charge!”

Jenna, 43, chimed in that they do “not want to body shame him.”
“No. He’s perfectly proportionate, and he’s here for the ride,” Barbara, also 43, concluded.
While Barbara shared the update, the “Today” show panned to rare photos of her and her husband, Craig Coyne, spending time with Edward and daughter, Cora Georgia.

The average 7-month-old boy weighs approximately 18 pounds, five ounces, according to the World Health Organization.
However, the Mayo Clinic points out that babies typically gain weight quickly in the first six months and then level out as they grow to be a toddler and get more active.
Jenna was the first to announce that Barbara and Coyne had welcomed their second child, as Barbara mostly stays out of the spotlight.

Barbara and Coyne –– who wed in October 2018 –– welcomed their first child together, daughter Cora Georgia, in September 2021.
Barbara and Jenna’s parents, former President George W. Bush and former first lady Laura Bush, became grandparents for the first time when Jenna and her husband, Henry Hager, welcomed daughter Mila in April 2013.
Jenna and Henry –– who have been married since 2008 –– also share daughter Poppy, 9, and son Hal, 5.
