Kim Soo Hyun’s alleged involvement with late actress Kim Sae Ron has thrown a heavy shadow over the Queen of Tears star’s career. Things took a turn after YouTuber Kim Se Ui from Garo Sero Institute dropped new claims, and not long after, Sae Ron’s aunt spoke up, ‘exposing’ Soo Hyun’s connection to the actress. On Monday, Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, issued a statement denying the dating allegations. But that didn’t settle things. The YouTube channel hit back with a bold response and, in the process, dragged BTS into the middle of the controversy.
Following the allegations, Gold Medalist issued a statement saying, “The YouTube channel accused our agency and Kim Soo Hyun of colluding with YouTuber A to harass the late Kim Sae Ron. They also falsely alleged that Kim Sae Ron had been in a relationship with Kim Soo Hyun from the age of 15 and that our agency handled her drunk driving incident inappropriately. These claims are entirely false and cannot be ignored.”
The agency further claimed to take strong legal actions “against the spread of such false information.”

YouTube channel drags BTS into Kim Soo Hyun’s dating controversy
Hours after Kim Soo Hyun’s agency put out its official statement, the YouTube channel hit back with a bold response. Taking a swipe at the Its Okay to Not be Okay star, they claimed he had no idea about the influence of Kim Se Ui, the former MBC reporter and founder of the channel. Mocking the actor, they said, “Looks like Kim Soo Hyun doesn’t know who Kim Se Ui from Garo Sero Institute is. Haha.”
AllKpop reports that in their latest statement, Garosero Research Institute mocked the idea of legal action, saying, “Legal action? Even the so-called world star BTS once claimed they’d take ‘legal action’ against Garosero. And how did that end? Everyone ended up enlisting in the army! Now, Kim Soo Hyun, who’s mainly popular in China, wants to take legal action?”
“Our Garosero didn’t just air random gossip; we spoke directly with Kim Sae Ron’s family. Why not try the ‘legal action’ move on them too? Haha,” they added.
According to AllKpop, they referenced a Naver article and online speculation about Kim Soo Hyun’s alleged connection to Kim Sae Ron, fueling public worry over a possible inappropriate relationship. Garosero then went on to blame YouTuber Lee Jin Ho for actress Kim Sae Ron’s tragic passing.
Garosero claimed that the actor, despite being nine years older than Kim Sae Ron, had been in a relationship with her while she was still a minor. Kim Sae Ron’s father had already announced he’d pursue legal action against Lee Jin Ho and other “cyber wreckers,” holding them accountable for adding to his daughter’s suffering during her DUI scandal. Garosero didn’t hold back, stating, “Our Garosero Research Institute believes the garbage left-wing pro-China Lee Jin Ho drove Kim Sae Ron to her death. A petition demanding his punishment is gathering momentum with 50,000 signatures needed within a month. We urge everyone to participate.”
