(FOX 5/KUSI) — Organizers of the Coachella Festival announced two major surprise acts joining the lineup and another artist announced their dropping out, all just days before the first weekend of the festival.
The music festival published its full schedule of performers over the weekend, and two major artists that were previously unannounced were added, rock band Weezer and singer Ed Sheeran.
Meanwhile, performer FKA Twigs announced on Friday that she had to cancel her appearance due to issues obtaining a visa to enter the United States.
On X, the performer said she was “devastated to share the news that due to ongoing visa issues I am not able to see through any of my scheduled tour dates for the remainder of April across North America, including Ceremonia and Coachella…”
Festival Ceremonia is an annual festival in Mexico City, but this year, it was canceled after its first day because of a crane collapse that killed two people.
According to the Coachella Festival schedule, Weezer is scheduled to perform on Saturday of the festival’s first weekend, while Ed Sheeran is slated for the Saturday of the second weekend.
In March, Brazilian star Anitta also announced she would drop out of the festival, citing personal reasons.
