Delhi has given some big players to the Indian setup but none bigger than Virat Kohli, who went onto lead the team and became the player with the most centuries in ODIs. He wears the number 18 jersey for India and for his IPL side, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and has made it an iconic number.

Delhi’s number 18 smashes Mohammed Siraj

Another of the rising stars from Delhi, wears the number 18 jersey and plays for the Punjab Kings in the IPL – Priyansh Arya. He made a name for himself in the Delhi Premier League last season and was snapped by Punjab Kings. The batter made his debut against the Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2025 and took on one of Kohli’s protege, Mohammed Siraj.

Siraj shares a great bond with India’s number 18, Virat Kohli, but the number 18 from Punjab Kings took a liking towards Siraj with the bat. He started off with a boundary against him in the first over itself and the carnage continued in his second over as well.

In the 3rd over of the match, Siraj bowled a fuller length ball on the legs and Priyansh flicked it on the leg side for a six, and he completed the over with a boundary as Siraj was hammered by Delhi’s number 18 player.

Punjab bat first as first wicket falls down

Gujarat Titans won the toss and elected to field first as Shubman Gill thought the dew might work in their favour. The PBKS side opened with Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya, but Prabhsimran couldn’t do much and Kagiso Rabada dismissed him cheaply.

Once he went back, captain Shreyas Iyer walked in and he took on the attack to the cleaners as the boundary floodgates opened.
