GW-32 is a mini-double game week with Newcastle vs Crystal Palace the midweek replacement for when the Magpies were busy winning the league cup final. With all top-four teams dropping points last week, it’s a great opportunity for them to build momentum.
On the horizon: GW-33 will be a DGW for Palace (again), Aston Villa, Man City & Arsenal. Then comes a reversal in GW-34 when those same four clubs all blank. Thank goodness we Fantrax managers get unlimited transfers every week!

For those who will be awake at deadline time: GW-32 gives us just one early match, but it includes one of our DGW teams: Man City hosts Palace, so we should see those two confirmed lineups in the countdown hour to the Fantrax deadline.

Goalkeepers
Nick Pope ($7.13, Newcastle vs Man United & Palace)
He’s been on my list for several weeks now — affordable, with a double game week and strong individual and team performances. There’s no reason not to include Pope in the squad.
~~
Alex Palmer ($1.12, Ipswich vs Chelsea)
He’s still awaiting his first clean sheet since his arrival, but his low entry price and guaranteed start make him a solid inclusion on the list.
Defenders
Reece James ($4.54, Ipswich vs Chelsea)
He’s been “involved” in several consecutive matches and is playing solid football at both ends. Chelsea still has a good chance to qualify for the UCL next season.
~~
Kieran Trippier ($4.00, Newcastle vs Man United & Palace)
Another captain, another English right flank in the league, Trippier has started recent matches, though he might be substituted towards the end. Low entry price x DGW = must-have.
~~
Daniel Munoz ($13.98, Man City & Newcastle vs Palace)
Guehi will be suspended for Palace’s visit to the Etihad, meaning that Munoz will play an important role in defense, especially after the minor injuries to Lacroix and Richards.
Midfielders
Eberechi Eze ($12.26, Man City & NewcaXstle vs Palace)
Two assists last week show that Eze is finally free from injury. While away games to Man City and NewcaXstle might be tough, an in-form Eze with DGW is too big not to include him.
~~
Yankuba Minteh ($9.22, Leicester vs Brighton )
Leicester is on a run of eight defeats in a row, so Minteh will have a great chance to shine in this match, especially given his consistently good form.
~~
Morgan Rogers ($9.43, Southampton vs Aston Villa)
He has earned double digits in three of his last four matches. Facing a defense that has conceded the most goals in the league gives Rogers a good chance to score or assist.
Forwards
Alexander Isak ($14.96, Newcastle vs Man United & Palace)
We left him out of our picks last week (retail price), but with double home matches in GW-32, he becomes a solid option this week, especially after the manager confirmed he is 100% fit and healthy.
~~
Bryan Mbeumo ($19.85, Arsenal vs Brentford )
Arsenal must visit (so has one eye on) the Bernabeu midweek, albeit holding a 3-goal advantage from the UCL quarterfinal first leg. There may be rotation in defense, but choices are limited by Gabriel being out for the season. Mbeumo has the pace and finishing quality to exploit any lapses opened by Gunner dreams of UCL triumph.
~~
Omar Marmoush ($6.22, Man City vs Palace)
His scoring streak was broken last game week, but he still earned a solid 18.5 Fantrax points. He now averages over 19 points in his last 3 matches. With Haaland’s absence, he’s had the stage to adapt and shine in the new league.
