It didn’t take long for former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi to find a new home. According to NFL reporter Ian Rapoport, Ogunjobi is signing with the Buffalo Bills and it’s a one-year, $8.3 million contract. The Steelers released Ogunjobi at the start of the legal tampering period as a measure to try and save some salary cap and we wondered if he might end up coming back to the Steelers on a more reasonable contract.
Instead, Ogunjobi has moved on to the Bills and the Steelers continue to look for help along the defensive line. Ogunjobi had a down year in 2024 but aside from Cam Heyward, the entire Steelers defensive line struggled. We expected the Steelers to be buyers at defensive line early in free agency but so far they’ve stood pat.
Ogunjobi started 12 games last season. He finished with 41 total tackles and 1.5 sacks.
More #Bills free agency news: Sources say they are set to sign former #Steelers DT Larry Ogunjobi on a 1-year, $8.3M deal with $8M guaranteed. The deal also includes incentives that could make the deal worth up to $10M.
