CHICAGO — Riot Fest has released a star-studded rock lineup for its 20th anniversary.
Headliners for Riot Fest, which takes place Sept. 19-21 at Douglass Park, include Green Day, Blink-182, Jack White, Weezer and the Sex Pistols ft. Frank Carter.
Blink-182 will headline Friday night, Weezer and Jack White on Saturday and Green Day on Sunday.
Other big acts who will likely being opening for headliners include Idles, Weird Al Yankovic, Alkaline Trio, All Time Low, Rilo Kiley, Knocked Loose and The Beach Boys.
Riot Fest began in 2005 at venues like Metro, Congress and Subterranean. In 2012, it moved outdoors to Humboldt Park and its been in Douglass Park since 2015.
“We didn’t plan on making it for twenty years. We planned on making it through one weekend. But here we are — still loud, still weird, still building something bigger than we ever meant to,” said founder “Riot Mike” Petryshyn.
