Welcome back, everyone.
The Vancouver Whitecaps are again down in Mexico, as they are set to face Pumas once more, in the second leg of their Concacaf quarterfinal matchup.
The situation is the same as the last time Vancouver was in Mexico, they need a win or a draw of two goals or more in order to progress. While Vancouver is still without Ryan Gauld, Sam Adekugbe, Mathias Laborda, and Jayden Nelson, it was great to see Andres Cubas back in the mix on the weekend, and they will surely rely on him heavily in the match.
For all the latest on Pumas and the matchup, you can check out our match preview.
In terms of updated standings, my apologies, there has been a lot of local football lately, so I have some catching up to do. Those will be posted here ASAP.
– Predictions will be ‘valid’ if posted HERE (or more accurately, whichever is the correct match thread) before the lineup is officially announced, usually about an hour before kickoff.
– You receive 1 point for every player you correctly guess to be in the Starting XI. You receive 4 bonus points for correctly predicting all 11 starters.
– You get 5 points for correctly guessing Win/Lose/Draw, this doubles to 10 if you also predict the right score-line along with the result.
– All this means, if you correctly predict the Starting XI, Final Score, and Winner, you can earn 25 points!
– At the end of each half of the season, the contestant’s lowest two scores (or missed predictions) of that period will be deducted from the cumulative standings.
