All eyes in the NBA world were on Dallas as Luka Doncic returned with the Los Angeles Lakers to take on the Mavericks.
It was Doncic’s first game back at the American Airlines Center since the shocking trade that sent him to Los Angeles for Anthony Davis.
Doncic, seemingly blindsided by the trade from the organization he spent his first six-and-a-half seasons with, put on a show Wednesday, scoring 45 points in the 112-97 Lakers win. The Dallas fans were behind him throughout and gave him a standing ovation when he finally exited the game.
In his first game against his former team in L.A., Doncic put up a triple-double of 19 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists. He did even better Wednesday night. Check out his full stat-line below:
