Navy already holds the upper hand in this matchup, having defeated American twice during the regular season, including an eight-point win on the road just two weeks ago. But the real question is: Can they do it again and crash the NCAA Tournament party with a losing record?

The Midshipmen have the underdog label, but they’re far from overmatched. They’ve already won in American’s house, which gives them the confidence to do it again when it matters most. American hasn’t exactly been steamrolling through the Patriot League Tournament.
The Eagles needed a second-half comeback just to sneak past a struggling Lafayette team, then had to go on a late run to pull away from Colgate, a squad that had dropped seven of its last 12 games. That’s not exactly dominant play from the conference’s top-seeded team.
