The Kansas City Chiefs have picked up another running back, according to FOX Sports NFL insider Jordan Schulz. Video above: Kansas City Chiefs reportedly re-sign Nick Bolton to three-year deal. Free agent Elijah Mitchell, formerly with the San Francisco 49ers, is coming to Kansas City thanks to a $3.5 million deal, Schulz said. ESPN also reported the news. Mitchell is the second pick-up of the day hailing from San Francisco after reports that offensive tackle Jaylon Moore was joining the Chiefs. Both were drafted in 2021 and have spent their entire careers with the 49ers. Mitchell will be eager to get back to it after a hamstring injury sidelined him for the entire 2024 season. During his three seasons, he started in 12 games and played in 27. He’s scored nine touchdowns and rushed for a total of 1,523 yards, his best being 963 in the 2021 season, his rookie year.
