Keith Thurman flattened Brock Jarvis twice in a devastating KO win on his return.
Thurman was ending a three-year hiatus from the boxing ring, having not fought since his victory over Mario Barrios in 2022.

A former rival of Manny Pacquiao and Shawn Porter, Thurman was a betting favourite to beat Australian rival Jarvis down under in Sydney.
He hadn’t stopped a rival for ten years since facing and stopping Luis Collazo in 2015.
And he delivered perfectly on that tag, coming out of the traps at a frightening pace.
The third round provided his breakthrough as Jarvis was wobbled by a powerful barrage from the American.
He then flattened him with a crushing right hook, which sent Jarvis falling backwards and resting his head on to the rope.
Jarvis was able to just about beat the ten count, recovering and returning to his feet.
Thurman immediately went on the assault looking to close the show as soon as possible.
And he incredibly now landed a booming left hook after narrowly missing, which left Jarvis flattened on the canvas for a second time.
He took the same position as the referee stood over him and this time he was unable to continue.
The referee waved off the contest and Thurman climbed the ropes celebrating on foreign soil, with a stunned silence in the arena.

Thurman will now look to launch a full comeback and could well look to push for 147lbs world titles again.
After the fight, he called out Australian star Tim Tszyu who was in attendance.
The pair appear set to meet on July 6 on the Gold Coast, if Tszyu can beat Joey Spencer on April 6 in his upcoming tilt.
It could be a big period of new activity for Thurman.
He has also suggested he would like to take on Errol Spence, who has also been out of action since losing to Terence Crawford in 2023.
The 36-year-old said: “Let’s make it happen, baby. I signed my contract. It had Errol Spence’s name right on it. I signed my side before.
A little offended’ – Oscar De La Hoya left surprised in first reaction to Dana White and Turki Alalshikh’s boxing league
“I really don’t need the Tim Tszyu fight. I just think it’s a decent fight if I’m going to stay active and busy.
“If Tim Tszyu doesn’t win in his comeback fight [against Joey Spencer on April 6th] and he has three losses in a row, I don’t know how much excitement I can milk out of that cow.
“From that scenario, I would love to negotiate as soon as I’m back in the States for the Spence fight in Dallas, in Vegas, wherever. I’ll easily negotiate that fight right after this initial comeback fight.
“So, if we can make that happen, let’s make it happen. I would love the match-up.
“I’ve always been interested in sharing the ring with a great champion like Errol Spence. The truth is, you fought everybody but you ain’t fight me.”
