Faddah continued her pattern of playing it safe on wagers, adding just $5,199 to her total in “Final Jeopardy!” and finishing only $2,200 ahead of Ghaman. No contestant answered the final question correctly.
The “Jeopardy!” champion told The Commercial Appeal in January that most of her winnings will go toward funding her kids’ college education.
On Friday’s episode, Faddah got off to a difficult start, spending some time in the red during the first portion of the game and beginning “Double Jeopardy!” with just $1,800, but she found her rhythm during the second round. She said she’s better able to focus and block out nerves once she spends enough time on the stage.
“There was some comfort that started to come in with just being on the stage,” Faddah said in January. “Never comfort with the questions because they changed so much. The game is going so fast and you have to concentrate on it so much when you’re actually doing it, some of that [nervousness] falls away.”
