ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A strong line of storms has been moving through metro Atlanta and north Georgia.
Several severe thunderstorm warnings were issued throughout Thursday night.
Hail has been reported in many north Georgia counties.

10:01 p.m. | The ground stop at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport has been lifted. The FAA estimated that departure delays will exceed 75 minutes.
9:37 p.m. | Thousands of Georgia Power customers are without power. In Fulton County, just over 4,000 customers are without power. In Coweta County, almost 3,000 are without power. In Douglas County, there are over 1,800 customers without power.

9:18 p.m. | Emergency management agency officials are reporting multiple downed trees in South Fulton.
9:15 p.m. | Downed trees were reported in Douglas County, according to the county’s emergency management agency. A downed tree was reported on a home on Laurel Ridge Court and on a home on Jims Court in Douglasville. Downed trees were also reported on vehicles in Villa Rica and Winston.
9:10 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Carroll, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Henry, Meriwether, Pike, Rockdale and Spalding counties until 10 p.m.
9:07 p.m. | A ground stop has been issued at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
9:01 p.m. | The Braves game against the Philadelphia Phillies at Truist Park is currently in a rain delay.

8:32 p.m. | Hail was reported in Cherokee County.
8:31 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Madison and Oglethorpe counties until 9:15 p.m.
8:27 p.m. | Golf ball-sized hail was reported in Floyd County on Michael Boulevard.
