BATON ROUGE, La. (KPEL News) – Someone in Louisiana must have enjoyed a little Lady Luck over the weekend because, by Monday evening, they had earned a nice chunk of change from the Powerball drawing.
While no one claimed the top prize, a Lottery player in Covington, Louisiana, scored a big win of $50,000.
That winning ticket matched four of the five white balls plus the red Powerball. The win would have been $100,000 had the player opted for the Power Play.
The winning Powerball numbers in the Monday, March 10, 2025, drawing were as follows:
17 – 40 – 47 – 50 – 55 – 6 (Red Powerball)
The winning $50,000 ticket was purchased at Acquistapace’s Covington Supermarket located at 125 East 21st in Covington, Louisiana.
The jackpot in Monday’s Powerball drawing was an advertised annuity of $335.7 million ($157.6 cash value).
That amount will jump to a hefty $353 million advertised annuity and $165.7 million cash value for the next drawing, which will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

The Mega Millions jackpot is also getting up to a nice amount. For the Tuesday, March 11, 2025 drawing, the top prize is an advertised annuity of $256 million ($119.5 cash value).
The last winner of Mega Million was coincidentally around the same time as the last Powerball winner. On January 17th of this year, someone claimed a $113 million jackpot.
