Through one quarter of South Carolina and Maryland, it’s a two-player game versus a committee approach.
All 17 of South Carolina’s points are from forward Chloe Kitts (10) and guard MiLaysia Fuwiley (7), while Maryland’s 16 points have come from five different players. It’s not for lack of trying on South Carolina’s part, but the group of Sania Feagin, Te-Hina Paopao, Bree Hall, Joyce Edwards and Raven Johnson are a combined 0-for-10 from the field so far. It will be interesting to see which, if any, of South Carolina’s veterans find their shot in the second quarter.
