“There’s going to be a lot of surprises tomorrow night at Big Night AHT—Aaron Rodgers is not on the docket. I would like everybody to know that, because I think the show has so many, like, real moments that are coming. And I think there’s a chance people afterwards go, ‘Freaking didn’t see Aaron Rodgers out there.’ I have not talked to Aaron Rodgers,” McAfee reiterated. “I think it would be a positive reaction at that particular show—but I haven’t talked to him in weeks, months at this point.”
McAfee’s concerns are definitely based in reality, as many fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers have been following the rumors for weeks about whether Rodgers would announce his signing at Big Night AHT.
The show will likely have other massive surprises for the Steel City spectators—and while McAfee denies Rodgers is one of them, there’s no shame in the wishful thinking that the four-time MVP could have his close friend keeping the secret for him.
