The Detroit Pistons lost two points on a controversial play Saturday evening late in the third quarter against the New York Knicks in Game 1 of their first-round series in the NBA playoffs.

With the Pistons leading 80-76, Tim Hardaway Jr. ran down the court at Madison Square Garden for what appeared to be a two-handed dunk. The ball went to the bottom of the net, but then popped out, as he was hit on the right arm by Josh Hart.

No foul was called and Hardaway was whistled for offensive goaltending and no basket was awarded.
