Raiders select former Oregon receiver in 4th round of NFL draft

The Las Vegas Raiders selected Tennessee receiver Dont’e Thornton Jr. with a fourth-round pick in the NFL draft on Saturday.

Thornton, a speedster who clocked 4.3 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the NFL combine, played two seasons of college football for the Oregon Ducks before transferring to Tennessee ahead of the 2023 season. He had 26 receptions for 661 yards and six touchdowns during the 2024 season, posting 25.4 yards per catch.

Las Vegas took Thornton, who is 6-foot-5 and 205 pounds, with the sixth pick of the fourth round (108th overall).

Earlier in the draft, the Raiders picked Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty (first round), TCU receiver Jack Bech (second round), Iowa State cornerback Darien Porter (third round), Texas Tech offensive lineman Caleb Rogers (third round) and William & Mary offensive lineman Charles Grant (third round).
