Two tough battles in Texas have led to an even first-round series between the Dallas Stars and Colorado Avlanche, as the two teams head to the Mile High City for Game 3 on Wednesday night.
After a rough loss to open the series, the Stars came out with a much stronger effort in Game 2 on Monday night. However, the Avalanche did not allow Dallas to get ahead, as the Stars needed a third-period goal from Evgenii Dadonov to force overtime.
That was when energy player Colin Blackwell came up with his second playoff overtime goal, scoring late in the first extra frame to give the Stars a much-needed 4-3 victory.
