The Tennessee Titans aren’t staying put on the second night of the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Titans have traded back in the second round of the draft, making a deal with the Seattle Seahawks to give up the No. 35 pick. In exchange, the Titans have received picks No. 52 and 82.
The Titans used the No. 1 pick in the first round to select Miami quarterback Cam Ward. Ward joins a roster that went 3-14 in 2024, earning the top pick in the draft along the way. As such, the Titans roster is replete with needs, including holes to fill at premium positions like wide receiver and pass rusher as well as across the field at spots like inside linebacker, safety, tight end and running back. Additionally, the team needs depth pieces at spots like offensive and defensive line.

New Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi and Titans president of football operations Chad Brinker have both said their goal is for the Titans to be a “draft and develop” franchise. In January, they described that philosophy as one that’s based around patience and proactiveness when it comes to adding players. That means trying to acquire extra picks by trading down more often than exchanging picks to cash in and move up.
