The 2025 Masters Tournament begins this week: Here are the times and how to watch

The first major golf tournament of the year takes place this week at Augusta National Golf Club.

The 2025 Masters Tournament will be held from Thursday, April 10, through Sunday, April 13, as golfers compete for the tournament’s illustrious green jacket.

The 2024 Masters champion, Scottie Scheffler, took home a $3.6 million purse out of the $20 million distributed to the golfers in the field. Scheffler also took home the second green jacket of his career and returns as a favorite to win the 2025 Masters.

When does the 2025 Masters Tournament start?

The first round of the Masters will take place Thursday, April 10.

The main broadcast for the first two days of the tournament on April 10 and 11 is scheduled from 3-7:30 p.m. ET.

The tournament will conclude over the weekend with its final two days on Saturday, April 12, and Sunday, April 13, with main broadcast coverage beginning at 2 p.m. ET.

How to watch the 2025 Masters Tournament

Main broadcast coverage of the first two days of the 2025 Masters Tournament will air on ESPN at 3 p.m. ET.

Main coverage of the latter two days of the tournament will begin at noon for streaming on Paramount+ and starting at 2 p.m. ET for broadcast on CBS.

Additionally, there are various streaming options throughout the week of specific holes, featured groups and more on ESPN+, Paramount+ and the CBS Sports app.

The Masters’ website will offer a streaming option of the action as well.

Which golfers are competing in the 2025 Masters?

Favorites in the field include 2022 and 2024 Masters champion Scottie Scheffler, who is looking to become the ninth player in history to add a third green jacket to his closet.

Fresh off a 2025 Players Championship victory, Rory McIlroy is in the mix for his first green jacket and fifth major victory. The Masters is the only major tournament the Northern Irish golfer has not conquered. His last major title came more than 10 years ago when he won the 2014 PGA Championship.
