Today on Pinstripe Alley – 3/27/25

Here we are, at long last. Opening Day 2025 is here, and the Yankees can finally move on from a sour ending to their previous season. They could even, if everything falls in place, get revenge for their World Series defeat. Regardless, the leaderboards have all reset, all of the teams are 0-0, and it’s time to get to work.

We’ve had plenty of buildup to Opening Day this year, but humor us as we walk through some final bits of preparation before first pitch. First, we have our official staff predictions ready to go, and then Peter keys in on Carlos Rodón and what he needs to do to have an effective first outing of the year. I’ll take a crack at naming the most likely Bronx Bombers to set the tone with a homer on Opening Day, Matt looks back on a wacky Opening Day victory over the Red Sox 80 years ago, and Nick Sarnelli will break down the Yankees’ first official lineup of the year.
