When you were a kid, you may have spent the Easter season hunting for Easter eggs in homes, backyards, and parks. Now there are definitely fewer egg hunts, but you can scour your local Trader Joe’s store’s aisles for the chain’s latest release: mini pastel-colored canvas totes. They’re as adorable as they sound — and because they’re $3 each, you might be able to stock up on every hue to carry all your delicious finds on your next TJ’s run.
The new mini canvas totes hit Trader Joe’s shelves on April 8, and they’re so cute that chances are they won’t stay on shelves for very long. The totes come in four spring colors: pastel shades of blue, pink, lavender, and green. Perfect for a quick grocery run or as an accessory to your spring outfits, they measure 13 inches long, 11 inches tall, and 6 inches deep. Each tote costs $3, so it’s perfect for a little “treat yourself” moment. You might even want to scoop up a whole set!
Shoppers on Instagram instantly showed the totes some love. “Imagine using these at the farmers market!” wrote one Trader Joe’s fan on Instagram. “Can you sell them year-round please?” wrote another.
A Trader Joe’s fan spotted a sign at a California Trader Joe’s location that detailed all of the times the mini canvas totes would be restocked between April 8 and April 10. Last year, the totes sold out quickly, so this particular location is limiting purchases to one set per person. It’s possible other Trader Joe’s stores will adhere to the same policy, so you might want to call ahead to get the details for your nearest location.
Trader Joe’s canvas tote bags have become one of the store’s hottest items, and it’s easy to see why. They’re made from durable cotton and polyester, they’re reusable, they’re washable, and honestly they’re just so darn cute! Plus, they’re less than five bucks. And when you’re done grocery shopping, don’t forget you can also channel your inner kid and use your new tote for an Easter egg hunt.
