RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) has ordered that flags be lowered to half-staff on Sunday in honor of fallen firefighters.
On Friday, May 2, Youngkin issued a flag order in honor of National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service Day, which is on Sunday, May 4.
“We remember all the firefighters who were killed in the line of duty and made the ultimate sacrifice protecting their communities,” Youngkin said.
All state and American flags at all state and local buildings should be lowered to half-staff starting at sunrise on Sunday and remain that way until sunset.
