North West is only 11 years old, but she’s already a fashion icon. After all, she was on the cover of Vogue when she was still in diapers, so it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see her walk the Met Gala 2025 steps alongside her mom, Kim Kardashian, or maybe one of her aunts, Kendall and Kylie Jenner. But will she make it to this year’s gala? Here’s what we know so far.
Will North West go to Met Gala 2025?
The short answer is, it’s unlikely. Though it doesn’t appear to be a widely publicized rule, it looks like the Met Gala does have an age restriction, and guests under 18 years old are not allowed to attend. Since West is still well under that age limit, we probably won’t see her walk the carpet.
But then again, anything could happen, especially when your mom is a bona-fide Met Gala superstar.

What has North West said about the Met Gala in the past?
In 2023, West accompanied Kardashian on the way to the Karl Lagerfeld-themed gala, wearing a mini Chanel jacket and jeans, but did not join her for the red carpet and event. She did, however, have some thoughts about the fashion. On an episode of The Kardashians that covered the Gala, West played the role of a “mini Joan Rivers” and let her fashion opinions fly, including some about her mom’s Schiaparelli gown.
During a fitting, West said of the dress, “I like the pearls; I just don’t like that it looks like they’re from the dollar store.” Schiaparelli designer Daniel Roseberry laughed, saying, “This is my worst nightmare come to life. It’s like I’m being punked the night before the Met, getting read for filth by a nine-year-old.”
West also had words for her mom’s ex-boyfriend, Pete Davidson, saying of his look, “You’re going to the Met Gala, Pete, not the gas station.” She called Jared Leto’s cat costume ”cringe,” but praised her aunt Kendall’s Marc Jacobs look, saying she liked it more than her mom’s. Though she probably can’t attend the actual Gala, she could definitely hang out with the E! red carpet team and share her (always very honest) thoughts.
