Notes

• U-M won four games in four days twice to win back-to-back titles (2017, 2018). The Wolverines hold the record for consecutive wins at 10 (2017-19).
• Michigan earned the No. 3 seed after tying with Maryland for the runner-up spot (14-6) but lost the tiebreaker due to the Terrapins’ 71-65 regular-season win at Crisler Center. Michigan State secured the No. 1 seed after winning the league by three games (17-3), while UCLA (13-7) claimed the No. 4 seed.
• Michigan secured a double-bye for the third time. U-M had a double-bye in 2019 (runner-up), 2021 (quarterfinal) and now this season. The Wolverines have earned 15 single byes.

• In the bottom quarter of the bracket, No. 11 seed Rutgers plays No. 14 seed USC on Wednesday, with the winner advancing to face No. 6 seed Purdue on Thursday. The winner of that matchup will take on No. 3 seed Michigan in the quarterfinals.
• During the regular season, Michigan split its series with Purdue, falling 91-64 (Jan. 24) in West Lafayette, Ind., before securing a comeback 75-73 win (Feb. 11) at Crisler. The Wolverines also completed a season sweep of Rutgers, winning 66-63 (Feb. 1) in Piscataway, N.J., before securing a dramatic 84-82 victory (Feb. 27) in Ann Arbor, where Nimari Burnett hit a game-winning three-pointer on a broken inbounds play. Against USC, Michigan won 94-75 (Jan. 4) in its lone regular-season meeting during a West Coast road trip.
• Vladislav Goldin earned a spot on the Big Ten’s first team from the media and a second-team spot from the coaches. Danny Wolf was named to the second team by the coaches and the media. In addition to their conference accomplishments, U-M’s “Area 50-1” was honored by the Associated Press, with Wolf earning a spot on the All-Big Ten first team, while Goldin was named to the second team.
• In his last seven games, Goldin has six 20-plus-point games, four 10-plus-rebound games and three double-doubles, averaging 20.6 ppg and 9.1 rpg. Goldin is shooting 64.2 percent — tops in the Big Ten and sixth nationally.
